Project 4: Choosing Projects

We had all submitted ideas online about what we would be interested in doing for the final project of the semester and in class today we voted to see which 4 projects would be made and who would be in each group. The idea I submitted was to create an augmented reality application for mobile devices that utilizes their built-in GPS and cameras. This would have been a very ambitious and cool project but ultimately I knew it wouldn't get chosen by any other people due to the amount of time and work that would need to be invested in it. I have always found lighting effects in the dark to be fascinating so I joined up for the project that was supposed to create a choreographed event using LED lights. I was in the gorup along with John Peacock, Andrea Lopiano, Mia Cuneo, and Dan Shanahan. I think we all just wanted to be in a group with people who we knew, liked, and knew would invest the time and work necessary to complete the project not at the last minute.
